Derry Track Club are pleased to announce the signing of JP Williamson.  The former Oakgrove student is no stranger having been coached by Malcolm McCausland from a boy.

We have missed him and pleased he has come home to papa.  Watch out for this guy in the  summer after he returns from the USA in May.

Marty Cox Joins Derry Track Club

Derry Track Club has announced the signing of top road runner Martin Cox .  The 33-year-old Omagh man ran 15:13 in 2015 but has joined DTC with a view to lowering his track times particularly for 5000m.

“Marty fits in perfectly with our ambitions and I think we can help him with his track times,” said DTC coach Malcolm McCausland. “He has a good endurance background and, with some specialist spadework, he can make major inroads on his personal bests for all distances.

“He has trained with us a couple of times already and fits in real well with the two Doherty boys (Conor and Matt) which will advance the quality of his training.  I’ve know Marty for quite a while and I know that he has the personal qualities to take the club up a notch or two.”

Cox is likely to make his debut in DTC colours early in the New Year and is targeting the indoor season as well as the Armagh International Road Races.
